Privacy

Your information, and the short list of people who see it.

Most privacy policies are written to protect the company. This one is written to be read. If a sentence here is unclear, that is our fault — call and ask.

What we collect, and why

Only what a cleaning job actually needs: your name, the address to be cleaned, a phone number, an email address, the size and layout of the home, and any access instructions you give us. If you book online, whatever you typed into the form.

We do not buy contact lists, we do not scrape them, and we have never sent a message to anyone who did not first ask us to.

Text messages, and the one line that matters most

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile number given to Housewarm Cleaning Co. is sold, rented, traded, or handed to any other company to advertise to you.

Some information is necessarily shared with the technology providers who deliver the messages on our behalf — the phone-service provider that transmits the text, and the mobile carrier that carries it. Those providers may only use it to deliver our message to you. That is a delivery function, not marketing, and no such provider is permitted to use your number for its own promotional purposes.

Two separate things are described here, and we keep them separate. Messages about your own booking — a confirmation, a running-late note, a reply to a question you asked — are part of the service you hired. Messages about offers only ever go to people who ticked the optional box asking for them, and stop the moment you reply STOP.

Photographs

Every room is photographed before and after. Nothing identifying is ever in frame — no mail, no documents, no screens, no people — and camera location tagging is off on every device we use.

Those photographs belong to your job record. They are never published anywhere without your separate, written permission, which you can withdraw at any time, including after you have given it.

Who else sees your information

The person cleaning your home, and nobody else. Not a lead broker, not an advertiser, not a partner company.

The ordinary exceptions apply and we would rather name them than hide them: the software we use to run the business and send messages, our accountant at tax time, and anyone a court or Pennsylvania law actually compels us to tell. None of those is a marketing use.

How long we keep it, and how to make us delete it

Job records are kept while you are a customer and for as long afterwards as tax and insurance rules require. After that they go.

You can ask us at any time what we hold on you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or call and say so. There is no form and no fee. If deleting something would break a legal obligation we still have to meet, we will tell you which one rather than quietly not doing it.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking scripts. There is no pixel here following you to another site.

If we ever add analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting kind that does not identify you individually, and this paragraph will change on the day it happens rather than afterwards.

Children

This is a service for homeowners and tenants. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we have no reason to.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. We do not make quiet edits.
