Taylor, Pennsylvania

Recurring cleaning in Taylor.

Weekly, every two weeks or monthly, on a slot we hold for you. The same cleaner every visit, so she learns your house instead of relearning it. No contract, and no phone call to talk you out of leaving.

What a regular slot looks like here.

Taylor splits cleanly: a pre-1940 third, and a 1970s-and-later half, around a small median of 5.8 rooms and a very standard three-bedroom layout. The modern half is quick. The pre-war third is not. Two heating facts are real here and effectively nowhere else on our map — Taylor has both the highest share of coal heat and the highest share of bottled-gas heat of any town we cover, and a minority of houses here carry combustion residue on sills, trim and ceiling lines that gas-heated houses simply do not.

Three miles southwest of Scranton on the Lackawanna River, and grouped with Old Forge and Moosic on the southern route. Most of the borough is built over abandoned mine workings, an eighty-five-acre stretch of which the state reclaimed in 2010.

Taylor questions

We still burn coal. Will you clean around that?

Yes, and we plan the extra time rather than discovering it. Taylor has the highest share of coal-heated homes of any town we cover, and coal leaves a finer, heavier film than gas on horizontal surfaces and ceiling lines. Mention it at booking and it is in the number we quote.

Is there a travel charge to Taylor?

No. The published price is the price at your door. We group visits onto shared route days rather than running one-off trips, which is what makes that possible without quietly adding a distance line.

What if the regular clean isn't right?

Tell us by the end of the next day and we come back and do the room again — the whole room, not the one spot you pointed at — at no cost. One text is enough and you do not have to argue for it.

Our promise

If a clean is wrong, tell us by the end of the next day.

We come back and do the room again — the whole room, not the one spot you pointed at — and it costs you nothing. You don't have to argue for it or prove anything. One text is enough, and you have until the end of the day after your visit to send it.

The window is there so it means something. An open-ended promise is what everyone else writes, and it's worth about as much as it costs to write. A day and a half is long enough for you to actually walk the house, and short enough that we can still remember the room.
